Holidays!

The holidays are finally here!!! How I have been craving them. The top photo is quite fitting because Sonia Rykeil always sends models down the runway laughing and smiling (which is what I currently feel like doing). The second photo is a snap from a beautiful shoot by Velvet Magazine [Photographer: Marcus Ohlsson, Model: Lonneke Engel, Stylist: Laura Bianch]. This picture reminds me of vintage swimwear, with the backless swimsuit and black and white format. Very effective, how I would love to be Engel in that shot!

Kate Moss

Quite a mish mash of Mossy photos, but mostly old ones of her effortlessly cool youth (obviously she still possess that total coolness, but in a more mature manner). Don't know who or why these pics were taken, but I love them all the same.

Velvet Magazine April 2010

This was a shoot for the April 2010 issue of Velvet magazine; Ragnhild Jevne by Marcus Ohlsson.
I am completely enthralled by this shoot because it's incredibly interesting. The setting reminds me of some sort of lunar landscape, which fits in well with the seemingly 'sci-fi' theme (mega hair, abstract poses & Alexander Mcqueen heels).

Fascinators

I absoulutely LOVE fascinators!! My dream is to wear a totally insane one consisting of feathers, flowers, frills - the whole shebang! I think Zara Phillips wears the most elegant fascinators, but Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugine wear incredibly quirky & exciting ones. I love Bea's butterfly one. I would love to wear it!! SJP's elaborate one also comes pretty close on my Would Wear List!

A few pieces from Chanel's Cruise 2010 collection. It was hosted on Lido Beach in Venis. Coco Chanel visited Venice in 1919, and was so transfixed by the city, she ended up living there for ten years! (Jealous, me?!)
This collection of Karl's is inspired by Venice; the people, the atmosphere and of course the fashions. To me, I get the impression this collection is chanelling a subtle '30s vibe, with the chic pencil skirts, coloured tights, intricate lace, antique brooches and billowing capes.
The pieces contrast nicely with the fearsome jewellery in the form of layered cuffs and spiked rings. They have also been toughened up with black nails and smoky eyes, which are the total opposite of the doll like hair. Notice the capes are styled bare foot, an interesting twist, non? I would give a pair of louboutins to visit Venice one day...and needless to say I'll be dreaming of arriving in stylish Chanel couture!
*sigh*

Luxurious Blanc

So you might be wondering why on earth I'm doing a wedding post. I assure you I am not getting married any time in the near future. However, I was completely spellbound when I came across this wedding dress designer; Caroline Castigliano. Her pieces are not only stunning, but are total works of art. The silhouette is feminine, chic and absurbly elegant whereas the fabrics are effortlessly luxurious. My favourite is the bottom two pictures of the one gown; talk about the dream wedding dress!!

Princess Diana

She was eternally stylish in sleek tailoring, gorgeous earrings, classic pearls and of course, just naturally beautiful. These are some of my favourite Diana pics, she looks chic in every single one.

Easy Rider

Sorry for the serious lack of blogging lately!! I have been super busy with exams. Sat my last one today! What a relief!! So now I can finally return to blogging - I missed it more than I thought I would!

This is a shoot by Stephanie Pfriender Stylander, styled by Michela Guasco. I am in love with it! The sheer urban factor; the clothing is a clash of festival chic meets tough rock chick with a hint of western thrown in. Loving the contrast between bodycon dresses and rock 'n' roll jackets, as well as her loose and tossled hair with a careless pleat thrown in.
